I have an 87 Palomino. When I purchased it there was no battery. I want to be able to run the furnace while dry camping. How do I hook up a battery to the converter to power the furnace?

Usually there is a hookup on your PU tounge, plug the battery into that. If not, you will need to run a line to the converter and hook it up inside.

You should be able to contact Palomino for a wiring diagram to help you. And if the wires and connectors are there it will be easy.

Be advised that your heater fan will drain your battery fast so you will need a way to recharge in the morning. We did the dry camping thing and only ran the heater in the morning to get the chill out to get dressed. Then charged when plugged into the truck as long as you have the plug wired. We have the 7 pin plug.

Hmmm...a converter but no battery. Me thinks you may already have wiring there, but will need to find it. As mentioned above, contact a Palomino dealer or Vanguard Industries, the parent company, via their website:
