This is a long shot....when you jacked it up and freely spun the wheels (indicating no brake drag)....try it again with the camper plugged into the TV....I'm thinking Brake Controller sending voltage to activate brakes. Like I said...a long shot

It was still plugged in when I jacked up the trailer. I did not notice any wheel drag. That was one of my thoughts earlier about the cause of the heat.
