All right...I have been teased enough with the semi-warm weather. I am going camping this weekend no matter what! Time to de-winterize and get it moving!

I will be going to Ft. Yargo State Park outside of Athens, GA. You are all welcome!

Its hard to believe, You live in Georgia and can't go camping in the winter. We used to live in Agusta and there was one time they closed the town because of snow and ice. It's great to hear from you Eric. Are you going to try and make the rally?

I know you have been in that desert for awhile, but it does get pretty nippy here in NORTH Georgia. Supposed to still be in the low 30's at night over the weekend...I got plenty of fire wood though.

Yep; been here since 85, now anything below 50 is cold. We went out 2 weeks ago and it rained first time in 140+ days and in the morning all the mountains around us were White.

Have a great time.

Hey Hitchhiker! I agree that we've had cold mornings here in Tampa (the last two mornings were quite cool).

Being from the North country, I find myself laughing that I think 40 degree weather is cold. Heck, it's still snowing back home!

We're getting ready to head to Northern Michigan next week. I'm gonna freeze my nuggets off!!!!

HI There,
Go figure with us living in California that the last 4 out of the 5 campouts that I have been on we have had rain at least 2 of the 3 days out. January was that only nice time out this year. We are going camping tomorrow and the forcast, you guess it "RAIN". I guess we get a little wet.

How was your trip to Ft. Yargo State Park last March?

I live in Smyrna, Ga and have not visited Yargo. My son lives in Athens and have passed the park on the way to visit him.

Is is nice for swimming or boat rental? Is Hard Labor S.P. close?
