Hello, New to the form here. While cranking my pup last night to load to to head out today a lift cable broke. I am in a bind have reservations planning on leaving after work tonight. Can I use a 2x 4 to get me through this camping trip to hold up the roof until I get back or is the trip a no go. The wife and kids will be upset for sure.

When one of our cables broke, my husband went to WalMart, it was the only place open that Sunday afternoon, and bought some cable clamps. That temporarily fixed it, until we could get back to TX.
