Xavier, welcome to IRV2
Is your cable still attached to your crank drive or has it come loose from four posts for raising the top? "007"

I'm sure someone can give you a better response, but . . .
in raiseing the top there is a restraining cable along one corner post that tells you, when tightened, the top has been raise enough.

When you bring it down, however, there is no restraint, so it is possible to crank the cable down too far which causes problems.

Look at the cranking mechanisim, where the handle is, to see if the cable is tangled.

Good luck!

Harry

It sounds to me by your first post that you may have a broken cable. You didn't say if you can turn the crank or not. A few people have posted that they have done this repair in the past way back in the postings, so maybe they will jump in soon. I would look in your paper work to see if the lift system may still be under warranty. Because of the safety involved when your asleep at night I would take your camper in to the dealer to have it checked and repaired.

kablewizard, The crank does turn left and right I don't hear the clicking sound that it use to make when raising or lowering as for the paper work I don't have any, I bought the pop up as is and I'm not sure if there are any dealers in my area. I tried looking inside where the crank mecanism is but all I can see is a peice of chain and a silver coil which looks like to me like the cable that would raise the camper but i'm not sure its not moving and I don't know how to get a better look at it. We have a Coleman Bayside. The first time it didn't click we were out camping and I had to crawl underneath and remove the panel from the back side. Everything looked fine. Did you look underneath? When I got underneath, I could also see the cable going to all four corners so I new it was OK. If I turned the crank it didn't click but it did raise. I will keep trying to find them.
