Smile My First Popup

I have owned travel trailers and 5ers since 1970. Our last was a 36' HR presidential with 4 slides. It got to where I was cleaning and waxing, paying storage, heavy tow vehicle where rving wasn't much fun. We had to make sure the campground had a large enough space. Had to be Very careful when pulling into to eat so I wouldn't get blocked in.
We sold our 5er and heavy truck, bought a van and popup. Such a breath of fresh air! I can ALMOST go thru a driveup window now. I get 21.4 mpg towing. Any camp ground works now. Park it in rear of house and forget it almost. This would not be my first choice to winter in Fla but one or two weeks is great.
Bigger is not necessarily better.

Best RV times in my life were owning a pop up. Kid the wife, that after she is gone, I'm selling the Class A and going back to a pop up. Remember when the kids were young, we went to the Disney World area for spring break. Couldn't find anywhere to stay. Finally a guy at a real nice park let us pop up under an orange tree right next to the putting clock. Long extension cord across the road.....great time. No such luck with a big rig and toad. It's not about your rig, it's about where you are and your state of mind.
