Need advice on buying our first Teardrop

Hi all. I've been looking at a new Braxton Creek Bushwacker teardrop. The manufacturer stated in an interview the MSRP is $8,990. But on RVtrader I've seen prices range from $8,990 to $11,995. The closest place to me that has them in stock (2 hours away) has them listed for $9,995. I spoke with a salesperson and they said they would match the $8,990. But after adding fees/taxes, etc. the price was back to over $10,000. They were firm on that price so I told them I would have to explore other options. They are a few other dealers within a 2-3 hour drive, but did not carry that particular model. They stated they could order one, but I'm sure that would incur extra fees. I'm also concerned since Braxton Creek is a new manufacturer, I couldn't find any reviews on quality.

Guess I'm wondering what kind of discount is realistic on smaller, cheaper campers? And if anyone had other recommendations on budget friendly small/lightweight teardrop type campers??

Thank you!

IMO, the difference in the numbers you're stating is about 10%. The equivalent difference of about sales tax. Get the rig you want without ordering, do a complete PDI and be on your way.
