Hello All!

First time poster here and I have a question for everyone. I was looking for a cheap, nothing fancy, pop up camper that I could use on occasional camping adventures. I don't find patching holes or anything and after looking for awhile I came across a 1979 Coleman Gettysburg. The guy selling it originally wanted 350 for it but after finding that mice had chewed through a couple holes in it he said he would sell it for $100. He sent me a few pictures of it which are below. He said that the floor is in good shape with no soft spots and mentioned that the canvas is old and probably won't last much longer. I know it's not a pretty camper by any means and will require me to patch a few holes but for 100 dollars I thought I couldn't pass it up. Am I right?

Like I said I am not looking for anything fancy and don't really care what it looks like. I just want something that my buddies and I can use when we go camping.

Also the camper comes with an awning and a screen room. There are no utlities but DOES have a title.

So I guess I wanted peoples advice on if I should buy this camper for $100. I've seen alot worse campers sell for more on ebay. I think that I can't really pass it up but if people think its too much and not worth it PLEASE TELL ME!

The hole that is pictured is definently the biggest. There are a couple other ones about the size of 2 quarters. Probably a total of about 4 holes.

THANK YOU!!

Go for it, as long as body and suspension is in good shape and four corners lift roof ok, and congrats. There maybe some zerk fittings under cable sleeve to grease track for cables.
You can always buy new canvas replacements and do it yourself. When you remove the old just keep track of removal and write it down, than do everything in reverse.
Its good practice when you find a motor home some day.
Duct tape does wonders for temp fixes.
Welcome to irv2 by the way.
