open circuit in colman pop-up 12V circuit
My son bought him a used pop-up, and didn't ask me to look at it first, sigh. (1996 I think, forgot model but its small, Newport???)
I spent a few hours there today troubleshooting that none of his 12v things work. We pulled the converter out and it has 12v fine out the
back end. I pulled a connector apart where the wire heads to the roof
and no 12v there, which is maybe 5 feet from the converter.
The ground wire has lots of splices, presumably by coleman, I see no
splices anywhere off the blue wire from the converter, but, I can't see
the entire wire, I'm relying on small gaps to look behind paneling.
ANYHOW, my question is .. do all the 12V Positive circuits just come
from splices off that one blue wire from converter or is there a bus somewhere, like behind the rear plastic "nose".
Worth mentioning here .. the small connectors where converter plugs into
the rest of the camper are fine .. that isn't the problem.
Thanks in advance .. I'll have to get the boy to get his own account
here now that he owns a camper.
On the other hand .. I own a motorhome, working on this was sure a lot
less complicated!
