open circuit in colman pop-up 12V circuit

My son bought him a used pop-up, and didn't ask me to look at it first, sigh. (1996 I think, forgot model but its small, Newport???)

I spent a few hours there today troubleshooting that none of his 12v things work. We pulled the converter out and it has 12v fine out the
back end. I pulled a connector apart where the wire heads to the roof
and no 12v there, which is maybe 5 feet from the converter.

The ground wire has lots of splices, presumably by coleman, I see no
splices anywhere off the blue wire from the converter, but, I can't see
the entire wire, I'm relying on small gaps to look behind paneling.

ANYHOW, my question is .. do all the 12V Positive circuits just come
from splices off that one blue wire from converter or is there a bus somewhere, like behind the rear plastic "nose".

Worth mentioning here .. the small connectors where converter plugs into
the rest of the camper are fine .. that isn't the problem.

Thanks in advance .. I'll have to get the boy to get his own account
here now that he owns a camper.

On the other hand .. I own a motorhome, working on this was sure a lot
less complicated!

There should be a fuse block somewhere.

What converter does it have by the way.. This is one of those "We always ask" quesiont, and is there a battery anywhere in evidence.

Beyond that... Any time I see a wire with "Lots of splices" I start thinking bad splice.

figured it out today, there is a switch that is supposed to get pressed when the upper half of the cabinet (with the sink) get set up on top of lower half. The switch needed adjusting. Apparently this switch kills power to everything if the top half of cabinet is not seated "properly"
on top of the lower half of cabinet.

We were very glad to discover this before commencing to cut holes in paneling.

To wa8yxm, its always a pleasure, for me anyhow, to get questions
back for questions asked. Thanks!

I would still view with suspicision that wire "With many splices" Glad you found the loose switch though.. That's one I'd have never thought of by the way.

You might just short out that switch (Solder across it) if there is a disconnect you disconnect when closing up.. Sounds kind of like a belt and suspenders thing.

To wa8yxm, it almost got a butt splice but, will see if it starts to behave now that we are on to it's trick

Just guessing here, but sounds like that is a safety switch in case one leaves 12 volt lights on when folding up for travel. You dont want the lights burning a hole through canvas or plastic when wired to automobile battery.
