I am gong to look at several pu campers this week. THe two most promising are mid to late 80's Palomino hardside or a 1991 Jayco 1208. Any opinions about the brands would be greatly appreciated. Are hardsides better? This will be our first camper, we are hoping to graduate from tents soon! Thanks!

I'm a genuine j
Jayco fan. Others here are too. They are a great company to work with unlike most others and they always are willing to help even if the unit is out of warranty.

We bought a 1991 Jayco jay series 1208. I think I got a deal t $1900. Either way we are happy. Thereare no problems other than the refrigerator didn't work..but we already replaced it with a regular 2.7 l electirc one which works fine for our needs at this time. We have taken it out twice and it has been wonderful. My kiddos (3 and 7) cannot get enough. We went to Wisconsin dells last weekend and cut our expenses by 2/3 thanks to having the camper! I am booking again for this weekend!
