Pop Up Power Roof System

I bought a new Jayco J Series pop up last year. It has the power roof system. After camping a couple it occured to me that if the power system didnt work I didnt know what to do to raise or lower the roof. It has a hole where the crank would go but there is nothing in there. I asked the dealer and they didnt really seem to know. I had to take the camper in for service and when I did I asked the mechanic. He looked in the hole and didnt really know. He checked for me and said that you could see the motor for the system through that hole and there was a small bolt on it. He said you would need a socket that fit that bolt (size he didnt know) and an extension. I bought an extension and tried several socket sizes and none seems to work. Does anyone know what I should or could do.

Thanks, Bill

Hello Bill, welcome to IRV2. Here a couple of other message boards that taylor to pop-ups.

Years ago I was on them and the people there are very knowledgeable.

Sorry I can't help with the problem you are having. I had a 02 Colman Cheyenne. I sure do miss it, it was a great Pop-up.
