Power roof lift systems questions

We used to have a small Jayco pup - pretty easy to set up. I notice that many of today's pup's, especially the larger ones, have the motorized roof lift system. I've also noticed on some of the forums that these can cause problems, esp. if your battery isn't working right and you have no way to lift up your roof. My question is, to the pups that have the power roof lift also have the old hand crank roof lift on them in case something happens to the power lift? We are looking (online) at a 2003 Rockwood 2302, and a 2011 Flagstaff 228.

Yes, my Fleetwood by flagstaff 620ST has a lift system and there is a manual bolt to lift up the roof is provided. I had an issue yesterday when my battery died and roof would not come down, i simply connected that with my car and started the car (like we jackstart the car) and lift started operating and roof came down.
Almost all lift syetem have an alternate manual crank system too
