I recently purchased a '91 Jayco Jay Series 1206. The unit is in great shape and is super clean but due to its age it does need some love. It has a seam that runs down the middle of the roof front to back. It needs to be replaced. Has anyone had experience replacing these? Can I just remove the rubber and replace it with heavy silicone? Or can I buy the parts to be able to fix it right? Any advice would be helpful.

Tom

What does the current seam look like, if it is a 3 to 4 inch wide tape, it is probably a product called eternabond. If it is, it can be removed by some light heat and scrapping, cleaned and redone with more eternabond. You can find it on-line.
