I hope someone out there can help me with this. I have Fleetwood Cheyenne to which I got electric brakes added on. But my popup dealer will not wire my TV (Toyota Seqouia 2001) because he says that Toyota has a safety bulletin out warning of accidental deployment of airbags with using controllers. He wires all other makes of cars except Toyotas and BMWs both for same reason. This is a reputable deale around since 1963 and provides excellent service etc.

My Toyota dealer as well as my Toyota serviceman (specializing in Toyotas and Mazdas again very reputable and known to me for 13 years) have not heard of this issue. But then they confess to not knowing too much about rvs and towing issues.

Anyone out there heard of this issue before. If so is there a fix of some kind. Really want the brakes because plan to do much towing in the mountains this summer.

I am not sure where you got your controller, but I would call Camping World and ask them. When I bought mine, they installed it for free as part of a special running . If there is anything they should know.

We have had ours since May of 2002 and never have had any problems with ours. We had ours installed at Quality Bumper because we did not have the seven pin plug, only the the 4 pin. Our dealer recommended them. We have travelled over 35000 miles with no issues. Hope this helps.
