TrailManor? What d'ya think?

This Trailmanor pop-up looks cool enough fo my mission that I could reconsider needing a motorhome.

https://www.trailmanor.com/product-line

" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350">

I searched but don't see any mention of it here.

I think I'd go for the 2922

It's light enough that I could tow it with my Lincoln MKX (Ford Edge) with the new Class II hitch.

I think I'll go visit the nearby dealer to see what it costs but I fear that I might get a new toy lust. As it stands I haven't had the Clarion out for a shakedown trip.

What d'ya experienced folks think about the TrailManor?

I always thought they were interesting too, and an alternative to the HiLo trailers that were available years ago. The trade off for the low profile is some loss of storage cabinets, a smaller refrigerator, and a shower that requires a curtain. But they seem to work for some folks. I'd only suggest that you look at them and see if one of them will fit your needs. I've read over the years a few comments about some problems with the seal at the roof seam....but I'd see if there is an active TrailManor forum and see what current owners are saying.

I knew a guy who had one and LOVED it.

I considered one once upon a time. If the floor plan and itís limitations meets your need then Iíd say itís worth a closer look. Small fridge, small tanks, small storage, small tow vehicle. There are some use cases where that would make senseó just not mine

Trail Manor

ome love them and some hate them. Good idea to join an active forum. Someone in our camping club had one. It leaked and was hard to set up. Consider a HiLo as they have a a towlite version. Study HiLos on the HiLo camper trailer forum.

I hadn't realized that Trailmanor had been sold and is now under new ownership. They have a very limited number of dealers and it seems to me they have scaled back on number of models and features.

HiLo trailers may have been a little better built units. They were manufactured in Bellville, OH and I pass through there all the time as my son lives down the road. We looked at HiLo trailers at one time, but we weren't crazy about the shower, smaller fridge and lack of storage. But, they were very well designed. Looking back, I'm surprised that they didn't become another Thor acquisition.

With some newer technology applied, I could see where a HiLo based trailer could become very popular again. If I were a very wealthy entrepreneur, it would be interesting to see what could be done.

Trailmanor went out of business. I had the 19/26. Loved it. Then the quality started to down. Sold mine in one day. That was 24 years ago. The new ones I saw was $40 thousand now. The least trouble trailers are the fiberglass. We just bought a Casita, after waiting 20 months to purchase a Lil Snoozy & putting down $10,000, they went out of business.

We bought a used 2720 as our first trailer. Ingenious design and has some definite advantages (light weight, compact towing, garage storability). Pulled it with an old 4Runner and later a Ridgeline with no problems at all. There's not a ton of storage (since everything collapses), and not a ton of interior space (in this age of 4 slide rigs). We liked it, though. Just depends on your needs.
