I have been doing some upgrades to my camper. One of the things I have noticed is how poorly this thing was assembled. I am replacing my a/c units. Installing smart tv's and speakers. While doing this and other projects I have noticed these things. My speakers are glued not mounted in the front. Also the wiring is just ran any place possible. It's a mess. It looks like the insulation was just thrown in and not installed properly. The bracing and carpentry work is haphazardly put together.

So. I am looking for a newer quality camper. That is assembled and build with a little care and pride. Is there such a thing?

uhmmmmm.... I think so, but it's hard to access once the walls are closed up, right?

I would think you would find better quality in the American Coach, Entegra, Upper End Newmar.

Sure just contact Newell, or any Prevost conversion company. Hope you've got a large wallet.

Lol. I agree. I just think that a little TLC or pride would go along way. I don't think some of the things they could do to make a quality product would not cost that much.

There's probably a reason the original Fleetwood/American Coach no longer exists.

The manufacturing process, under the new ownership, has been updated tremendously. For example, we watched the precisely cut foam board being cut and fit into the jig welded side wall, floor and ceiling sections. Nothing haphazard here.

That has not totally cured workmanship or design flaw issues, but that combined with their great service department has removed a lot of the potential pain.

^^^^ X-2. I owned an 03 "exotic nature" FW Excursion. It served me very well. As with any thing made by production methods and materials change. Heck I remember playing golf with laminated persimmon heads and wooden tennis rackets. I know where your coming from. Unfortunately that was about the time the original FW gang was ready to throw in the white towel. Also 08,09, and maybe 2010 coaches were a little lean on product. I'm not even going into QC. It stinks across the spectrum of RV manufacturing. However, there is an uptick by most large manufactures, or so I'm told by recent purchasers on IRV2.
