How soon do I have to repair? Time is short, RV is at the Lake, 4th of July is coming, and we leave for Los Vegas July 8th.

Think it has been there since returning from Perry GA in March, and has not moved (gotten bigger)

Bruce, our 2004 Journey cracked a windshield at the top. Once it started it keep on expanding. I am thinking you will want to have it repaired before you start across country.

The link below is to my post in this forum that discusses the event and on page 2 of the post I showed photos. The Journey has a metal frame which rusts and this expansion causes cracks. The mechanic who repaired our windshield ground down the rust and uses a special paint that helps prevent rust as well as allow the windshield sealant to work.

Our Insurance company put us in touch with RV Glass who subcontracted to a company here in the mid part of Florida called D & K Enterprises. They did a great job and I've had no issues since the installation.

I would replace it now. It will only get bigger and result in a very unsafe condition. Been in the business 39 years. I don't think it can be repaired with the repair kit. Needs a new windshield.
