Had an unusual situation in the RV. On a 30 amp service, we lost all power to the 110 A/C plugs. The basement air worked, the washer/dryer worked. The inverter worked. No 110 plugs. After an hour on the phone with Winnebago, I called a friend who understood electrons and we began working through it.

In the end, the problem was a wire nut holding two #10 wires together just inside the cover of the inverter had loosened. This removed the neutral from the circuit which was why I was not getting 120 volts between the black & white wires in the breaker box. There is not enough room to describe the path I followed to get there, but I will say that the Winnebago effort was excellent and I was pleasantly surprised with the level of documentation available on-line. The wiring diagram was key to solving the problem.

This will probably never happen to anyone else, but for me it was quite a "journey".

My brother in law had the same problem in his 2003 Winnebago Journey. I opened up his Hearth inverter and found loose connections and melted wires. I cut out the damaged wiring and rewired it and it has worked great since then. He was lucky it didn't cause a fire.

Thank you for the info of the loose wiring issue.
I am sure there are many times someone wishes they knew where to look for the simple repairs. Good luck and keep us posted
