Hi everyone,
I am the proud owner of a 1973 Winnebago Brave. The inside looks like it came from a time capsule but there are the unseen proplems. I already replaced the water heater and now am looking at replacing the toilet. It is an aqua magic with a model number of SH. Would the Galaxy or the Starlite fit this and can I go with the "High" model. The low model is currently installed. Just had new tires put on and the brakes look good. Enging is the Chrysler 440 and she really purrs. It gets about 8 miles a gallon. What a classic. I think my first night will be the Wal Mart parking lot.
later,
tbonethemb

Your biggest issue is going to be the BOLT PATTERN to install as the newer toilets use a standard 9&3 mounting and the older units use a 5&11.

As I understand it... The Thetford Bravura will accommodate the older bolt pattern *and* sit higher. About $200us

I have the PDF file on how to install/remove the toilet and all it shows is the 9 & 3 pattern. This is a 2003 file. We picked up a "low" Starlight/Galaxy toilet off CraigsList. we will use the good parts of it to rebuild the old toilet (water valve failed) It's cheaper to buy a new toilet than to buy the replacement parts... or the option was to get a used toilet and cannibalize it!
