1982 Mini Winnie engine trouble

I took my 1982 Mini Winnie out today. Its built on the Chevy Van 30. I've turned it on a few times in the last week and a half but hadn't driven it far. I turned it on, let it warm up, then drove 5 miles on the street then 5 miles on the highway. Turned around, then 5 miles back on the highway, mostly 60 mph but made sure to hit 75 for a bit, then drove to the gas station, all no problem. Put in gas, started up fine, started to drive home, made it past 1 light and then it "farted" at me. Like it was cranking but instead there was no explosion and instead all It gave was pushed air. If I let off the gas alot it would drive but If I tried giving it gas it would start to fart again. It's all uphill home so I ended up driving 15 mph till I made it. Once it was parked I tried giving it gas thinking it would fart again but it didn't. I revved the engine low to high for a bit and it wouldn't do it again. Normally its a good rv, it doesn't give me any trouble except for backfiring once in a blue-moon. I use it all the time. What do you guys think is the problem?

What is your engine size? Sounds like its not getting enough gas. Check fuel filter and fuel pump.

Just joined this form and found this thread. I have 1982 minnie winnie as well. Same chassis and motor. Recently had carburetor rebuild and it runs sooo much better now. Definitely sounds like a fuel or carb issue. Got pics of your rig?
