2 problems on recently purchased 2004 Expedition

We recently purchased a 2004 Expedition and have a couple of questions. 1) Does anyone know how to "recoat refrigerator shelves"? Couple of shelves are rusty and need help. 2) Apparently someone put tape on some of the walls, etc. and when pulled off, the "wood" look stuff pulled off. Does anyone have a fix for these 2 problems? Thanks for your help!

If your shelves have the rubber like coating on them then you could use Plasti-Dip ReRack to recoat them. Doubt you can do much for the missing faux wood though except hang some decor.

You can use a brown crayon and a brown kids marker to minimize the color difference. I got mine close using the crayon and marker.

What model refrigerator? I know where you can buy new shelves if you want to.

Clean the wire shelves with a Dremel and wire wheel. Use acetone and rag to further clean. Paint with a good enamel spray paint. Ours are at 4+ years with no rust...If you've got lots of money the shelves can be "chromed" but be prepared to part with a large amount.

You can also go to your local Home Depot or Lowes and pick up somebody the stain markers/crayons. I have used these for repairs to furniture and hardwood floors in the past very successfully. You start applying light costs until you reach the color you need.

Just treat the rust before you paint/recoat.

I have some "Guardsman Touch-Up Pencils" in medium and dark that work well. Look just like a "Magic Marker". You use them to cover and blend into the existing fake wood.
