Has anyone had a problem with the 2005 HR Admirals or Monaco Monarchs in regard to weak and / or raised floors?

My wife Holly and I purchased a 05 Admiral 36 ft and noticed a weak area in the floor after delivery. Now when the slide is out there is a noticeable raised area on the floor. Come to find out they removed many of the floor supports to lighten the unit. I believe the floor is being raised up by the 'lever' effect of the slide when it's fully out.

Spoke with Monaco and they deny there is any problem. Has anyone else heard of this? Any helpful comments would be appreciated.

Thank you for your help. E-mail at rjwild@juno.com

PS - If possible please e-mail other areas I can post this message. I'm really trying to find others that are having this same problem. Thank you again.

R.J. welcome to iRV2.com. Glad to have you join us here. Wish I had the answer for you but don't. I would find out from Monaco where you can take the unit to have this problem resolvled. If you can take some good pictures before going you can document where things started. Hopefully the repair will be quick and simple but just in case keep a good record of every conversation and pictures as thing progress. Good luck and keep us posted as to the results. We will try to help where we can.

Thank you! I hope it goes well. I'm concerned it's going to be drawn out and ugly. Thank you again for taking the time to respond. R.J.

R.J.
We had a 1999 HR Vacationer one slide (one step up from the Admiral) and we had a recall. HR had a service center weld a couple of cross-beams to keep the floor from shifting. Although We had no problems with the 1999 Vacationer, they performed this repair anyway. We now have a 2004 HR Vacationer 37 foot with two slides and have not noticed any problems. The service center in Wildwood Florida cannot do enough for you. Those people at the center are super nice and willing to fix anything. We're going there in a couple of weeks to get our awning fixed and arms on the driver chair repaired. No floor shifting problems noticed in either unit s/Toby

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I had heard they removed support beams from the floor area to 'increase the carrying capacity' and that this may have something to do with it. We've only been in the unit 6-7 times, for a couple days on average each time, and have already noticed the floor raising in the unit. Maybe we bought a 'Monday' or 'Friday' coach. I hope not? Thank you again. R.J.
