2005 National Sea Breeze 8132 Engine # Location?

Hi all,
The NM MVD needs both a VIN and an engine number to register our motorhome. The previous title was done in Oregon and only lists the VIN. It's not apparent where the engine number is. There's a second number listed by the VIN but because it doesn't state "engine number", MVD is insisting we have it certified as being correct...to the tune of $215!
Does anyone know where the ellusive engine number is located? I think that if we can show it to MVD instead of being clueless, perhaps we can save some time and money. We've checked all the manuals and previous owner's paperwork...even called the RV dealer who sold it new. No luck.
Thanks much,
Cyndi

It's a Workhorse. My husband climbed under it and thought he might have found it but it's very difficult to read and we're not sure that's what it is. It seems odd that they would have hidden it so well.
Thanks...

That's a GM engine in your Workhorse, but could be either the 7.4L (454) or the 8.1L engine, dpending on the chassis year and model. Earlier P32 chassis had the 7.4L engine. In any case, the engine number is piut on by Gm when the engine is made, so should be in the same place for all similar engines. A GM dealer or mechanic ought to be able to tell you where to look on the engine block
