Maybe I am spoiled by the difference between a 39' gasser and our 43' tag axle DP. While I am certain that Comfort Drive would further improve driving pleasure, I have little to think that lack of it would make me a sad puppy.

I thought I heard some rumors that Spartan was looking at the TRW system for the Entegra line. Maybe at the Cornerstone level only? Then again, I wouldn't see an advantage for Entegra to limit only to the Cornerstone.

Pretty much sums up this thread...

Nothing like hearing from a person that had them both.....
And I would think for the extra $250k you'll get more than Glitz......

They can call it an Entegra but it is still just a Jayco.

Yep, and a little inappropriate IMHO. Like I said, seen them both built, construction techniques and build practices are virtually the same, Entegra heritage is Travel Supreme (somewhat respected for quality), and last time I checked, Jayco was somewhat respected...although Entegra is a completely separate operation.

Beyond that it was also a tad limited in quality of content. Perhaps one of the least insightful postings I've seen in a while.

If I was able to spend that kind of money, I think I would go with the King Aire primarily because Newmar has been building coaches many more years than Entegra. The Entegra looks really nice and it seems they have stellar customer service but it is true that Newmar has been at it longer.

That said, if I was going to spend King Aire bucks, I would want Newmar to cut back on some of the fu fu but that is just a matter of personal taste.

Either way, this is a nice problem to have.... choosing between two beautiful high line coaches.

Question? do either or both the Cornerstone/KingAire have true flush floors when slides are out?

First RV we had was a Jayco. Now we have a Newmar. Nothin wrong with Jayco or Entegra. So we've had both so to speak. I would have to go in the CS and the KA and look them over, drive them both for at least 3 months, then make a decision. Never been in or even close to either one. If money didn't matter, it would be the Newmar hands down, mostly for the comfort drive. But if I liked the Entegra, they both have 600hp, 250K more is a lot of money for a fastly depreciating toy.

About as flush as you can get. What you don't see is the elimination of the carpet on the slide. They say they have to have something to cover the crack. I just hate carpet and would like to have the whole rig, slides and all wood and or tile. Their flush on the Baystar, so I'm sure there flush on the KA, although I never set foot in one. Was in a Prevost once, it was very nice, and had a real diesel, 600 HP Cat, not some ol cumapart!

I would think the cornerstone is comparable to the Mountain Aire, not the Essex. The Essex is a step up from anything Entegra can offer, and the King Aire is a step up from the Essex. Again, if money is not object, the King Aire.

Cornerstone is a significant step up from Mountain Aire and, IMHO, Essex. 150 hp, K3 Spartan chassis, Hadley air system, quartz counter tops, etc, etc, etc. Compared the Newmar line closely with Entegra line...Mountain Aire is equivalent to Anthem.

Honestly, IMHO, it is very difficult to see $250K difference between Cornerstone and King Aire; I know it is there, but hard to see...if I had the money, I'd buy the Cornerstone and use the savings for other fun things, like a stacker with a Corvette C-7, an ATV, a nice golf cart, and a nice place to park during the Winter. Hmmmm....then again, maybe I'd buy the King Aire...if I could afford it, then I could probably afford all those other toys in the stacker.
