Joe, When I figure out how to post a picture I will. I didn' buy the 33 new ! I bought it in 1953 and and finished it in 1956. I built a 302ci Small block Chevy engine for it and did a lot of drag racing with it at San Fernando and Orange county when they were running there. I have been toying with taking it over to Irwindale Speedway and racing it there but it's only an 1/8 mile strip and I don't think it would be as much fun as the 1/4 mile, It's been in the movies and has been in alot of magazines and have won lots of trophys with it at car shows. I just sold a 1928 Model A Ford Roadster Pickup that I built. I was too tall to drive it comfortably. I had built a supercharged Chevy 350 which I kept when I sold the car, probably put it in the 33 and see how it does in there. The Model A weighed 2,100 lbs and was an E ticket ride. I've been doing this my whole life, it's fun stuff. I do all of my own engine, chassis, welding, body work and painting. Keeps me out of the bars !! So there you have it. Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

That is Rocky Point. No, haven't been there. I have been told that it used to be a sleepy little village that is now full of hotels and condos. They play a commercial on the local radio station many times every day. It's pushing the sale of condos.

I just rememberd that we went there once many years ago. People on the beach were shooting rockets (fireworks) at us on the hotel veranda. We thought it would be stopped by security, but it went on for hours. I guess we didn't
care for it because we never went back.
