87 Class A Allegro transfer switch?

Anyone know where the transfer unit (gen/shore) would be on a 1987 Allegro class A 30'??
I cannot find a listing for it in the literature to the unit.

Don't want to backfeed the genset and burn it up.

Sorry I can't help with location but I'll throw this in , if not equipped with an auto transfer switch to protect the gen set well on shore power , most older RVs simply had a plug in the power cord bay to hook the RV to the gen set manually.
If you don't get info from others , I'll post a picture of my transfer switch , power cord runs right into it along with power cable from gen set in the power bay. So at least you'll have an idea what they look like.

My 1987 coach has a 3 position manual transfer switch. Off, shore or gen.
It is under the couch next to the 120V and 12V breaker panels.

Just don't turn on the generator while plugged into shore power, or plug into shore power while the generator is running ?

I replaced a defective ita50 in a tiffin this winter and this might help since I do not know your coach at all.

Well if it's like my GB you have to pull the main cable off from the generator socket and plug it into the line that goes out to the pedestal. It's either one or the other you cannot possible back feed from one source to the other. It's a fool proof transfer switch. The only thing is you have to go outside to do it, but there's never a transfer switch failure.
