One of the arms is spring loaded and is supposed to compress under the weight of water standing on the awning. You should be able to pull downward on the roller tube and feel the spring compressing. I don't think there's any adjustability, if it doesn't compress something must be broken.

It's the rear one on mine. It works, almost got my neighbor last time. Oh well, there's always next time.

I did talk to someone at Camping World and he showed me the slot. Have not tried to pull it down yet but it did not dump the water used a broom. The thing will not roll up with standing water so the wind sensor won't cause it to close if there is standing water. I don't like these awnings very well. I might add another one to ths slide out that will work.
Anyway thanks for the reply.

Our Weather Pro works to dump water as it is supposed to. However, we discovered if we roll the awning out about one turn shy of being fully deployed, the ridge at the outer edge of the awning formed by the roller tube is eliminated and the awning doesn't collect water. This may not work if your awning doesn't have much slope because it extends out over a slide.

On a related note, I've been disabling the wind detection system at the switch, and then using tie downs for the awning. With the wind detection system, the awning still seemed to balloon and move too much, and I got nervous.
Any reason what I'm doing is a bad idea? I read the manual, and it only mentioned not to tie the awning down with with the system activated.

Tying it down with the switch deactivated is bad only if you aren't there to manually retract it when needed. If the wind is blowing enough to make you nervous, it might be better to retract the awning than to tie it down. A tie-down works for a little while, but if the wind picks up anymore your awning frame will bend because it can no longer move.

I was tying mine down all the time at both ends in the windy desert. With the 3 point triangulation it did very well in 15-20 mph wind. But after two years I could see the threads at the top seam on the ends were getting pulled apart.
Now I don't tie down so firm. I use a large bungee at one end only (towards the rear of coach). I pull down the end that has some give to it and that puts the whole awning at an angle so water won't puddle. And it seems to do well in the wind. My wind sensor quit about 2 yrs ago so I have it disabled all the time.
