A&E box in bay not working? My remotes works fine. The coach is a Newmar 2005 Mountain Aire. The awnings seem to work fine as well. The open / close switch at the box does nothing. The toggle switch on the side of the box will beep if I switch it? Maybe user error? Thanks for your help! Scott

Some of the models have a 3-second delay on the rocker switch... you have to press-and-hold for 3 seconds before it will open or close.

Might give that a try.

If the box beeps when you flip the switch, you may have a problem with the wind sensor. The switch is to activate/deactivate the wind sensor, and when you turn it on, the box will beep if there is a problem. Not sure why the open/close button on the box won't work.

If you have a "lighthouse" type wind sensor (it's on the roof) then odds are the toggle will make it beep cause I don't think they ever made one of those that worked right

The beeping indicates a sensor issue

If the toggle is set so there is no beeping, and the engine is OFF, then the most common cause of the manual switch not working, (When the remotes work) is a bad switch

It's a simple SPDT center off spring return switch.. Check for a wire off first.. If that is not the problem then disconnect the center wire and operate the switch, both "open" and "Close" at least 50 times, re-connect and see if it now works

Sometimes... that fixes it.. If it does and you wonder why.. Ask
