We recently purchase a 2006, 38’ Golf Stream Crescendo 8386. The unit was a repo. So I’m still working on getting all the manuals. I don’t have one for the awning which is why the question.
It has an A & E Electric awning with remote control unit. I can’t figure out how the remote is supposed to work or even it does. Does anyone have this, can anyone give me some information?
Thank you for any help.
Bill

Hi Bill,
Welcome to iRV2. Can you post the model of A&E awning you have (ex. A&E 9000)? When fully extended there should be a sticker with the information on the roller tube and/or on the inside of the front awning arm.

Just to make sure- did you put a new battery in the remote?

Yes I did check the battery, it's good.
Electrical is something I know a lot about.

Unfortuantely, I do not have my coach info with me. My assumption is you have tried the remote and it has not moved the awning. If this is true, the remote and the control board may just need to be programmed for each other. Maybe another member can provide the info. It is not difficult to do.

Bill,

On my WeatherPro awning there's 3 ways to operate it:
 1.
There's a manual retract/extend switch inside the coach.

A manual retract/extend switch located on the control box.

The remote FOB.

Have you tried to operate the awning with the manual retract/extend switch? If so and it doesn't work, make sure the control box is turned on. If it is check that it's getting 12v power.

The only thing that does not work is the wireless remote.

Have you talked with Dometic customer support?

I would give them a try.

I will not have my awning information until sometime next week. From memory, consider trying:
1. take the cover off the control box.

2. look for a small button inside the box. This could be on the mother board.

3. Press the button while pressing the awning open button. Hold for about 10 seconds.
