Took a trip only to plug in to shore power the first night to find out the front A/c wasn't working. Ran fine all the way on the generator, just won't start on shore power. Turned around the next day with it once again running on the generator just fine. Arrived home, plugged it in and still no a/C. After about one hour or so, it turns itself on and has been running every since. Please if anyone has any idea of what might be taking place, I am open for any suggestions. Scared to take off on another trip.

See if your not load shedding. It might be set for 20 amps or 30 on your EMS.

Load Shedding sounds like the problem. The size of the generator will allow you to run the AC with no problem, however! when you go to shore power,if not on a 30 amp service, the electrical system will not allow the AC to come on.This is a very common problem with any outlet under 30 amps. The system will allow the AC to start if there is nothing else drawing power from a 20 amp circuit. Remember the the inverter / charger is loading the system even if everything else is off.
The AC will be shut down if the load increases to run other items. They will take priority over the AC.

Possibly your transfer switch is bad.
