I just purchased a 1999 Fleetwood Southwind Storm, I think I got a screeming deal but would like some feedback as to what some of the more experienced RV'er think of this Coach? One other question I have is; It does not have levelers how big of an inconvenience is this going to create?

Ken,

Congrats on the new rig. Given that you have (probably) been used to leveling at least partially with blocks, you might not find it much of an bother ...but ...after having two MH's w/out and now one with I'm NOT going back!

Both for the convenience and the stability.

Have fun with the new toy!

Rog

I always kind of liked the Storm - not a fulltimer's delight but a nice solid weekend and vacation rig. And I tend to like Fleetwoods interior designs anyway, but that's a matter of taste.

You can add levelers to the Storm but it is a substantial investment and probably better left undone. Save the $$ for when you are ready to upgrade (and you will be, sooner than you can imahine!). Leveling with a few wood blocks is no big deal and we used to do it with a Southwind even though it had jacks. It was prone to popping the windshield loose if jacked too much, so we often used wood blocks under the front wheels and occasionally the back if the site was cockeyed. No big deal.

Don't invent problems you don't have yet - go enjoy your new rig and let experience dictate what improvements you want to make - if any.
