If you go to Florida, don't count on AAA to offer service. Multi year member and in the past had been a service provider for AAA. My first trip to Florida with my RV I had an issue that stuck me in the middle of a very busy multi lane road. I had my 12 year old daughter with me at the time. Called AAA explained my situation and was informed that since I had not upgraded my service to "RV" I wasn't covered and they refused to assist. I explained that I knew I was not covered for the cost of the tow, and was willing to pay the tow provider once they arrived I just wanted someone to get me off the street. I explained I had an F350 and a 40' trailer.

Finally after multiple calls and requests they sent a small tow truck and an 18 year old kid who pulled into the parking lot near the truck and motioned be to come to him. His comment was that his truck couldn't pull my truck , "especially with that trailer hooked up" and he could do nothing to assist. Asked him to just use a tow chain and pull me off the road. I still had full engine power with steering and brakes, just no transmission. He said OK but then just pulled out of the parking lot and turned the other way.

Finally a person with a pickup and broken chain stopped pulled me to safety and offered to give me a ride and then wouldn't take a dime. A good Samaritan is ONE HUNDRED times better than AAA in my opinion.

That's what happened to me in Florida with AAA and I will never belong or ignore a post of someone wanting information on AAA.

Can't be any worse than G'S ERS, left me on the side of an interstate in a storm for 5 hours on the Friday afternoon of the Presidents Day weekend while they haggled back & forth with the only 2 tow services in the area about price. Finally the snow storm let up, one tow co.got caught up and was willing to tow my C m/h "for the chump change they were offering" (according to the tow co.) to the nearest repair facility even though (unbeknownst to me) they had a well-known reputation as rip-off artists.

GS saved $100 -$150, it cost me an extra $3k.

Recently, AAA was the only discount available for the campground where we stayed. We have the RV Premium, but conventional AAA membership would have worked, of course.
