I have a Dometic Roof A/C unit that is draining onto the roof instead of via the drain line. Any tricks or things to look for to fix the situation?

BTW the other 2 roof A/C's are draining normally

Hi Pat,
Determine where the line exits underneath the coach. Try blowing air from the bottom up toward the top of the coach. Maybe you can dislodge the blockage.

Thanks I think I found where ii drains, just aft of the battery compartment. I'll give that a try.

Be careful with high pressure air as you could blow some of the fittings and now you have a leak problem.

Use low pressure air, maybe 15-20 psi, so you don't blow the inlet apart at the a/c end or burst the drain hose. Alterantively, pull the cover off the a/c and try to see where the drain hole is in the pan. It probably just has leaf residue or mold clogged in the outlet. Clear it away ad pour a bit of bleach+water solution down it as well.

Do all roof mount AC units have drain valves? I have a 2009 Winnebago Chalet 31J. I've had my RV for 8 mos now and just assumed they all drained out onto the roof. I guess I've been missing something.
