AC wont come on with Generator

Hey, thanks in advance for anyone that can help. I let me battery go low by using my inverter rather than starting my generator. I have charged the batteries. I have started my generator, but can't get my AC to come on. It works fine when I'm plugged in to the electrical outlet, but doesn't work with the generator. Is my battery still too low or is there a reset switch. Also, does anyone know where I can find a diagram of the fuses in the front of the RV?

There is another set of breakers on the generator. Sometimes they are on the back side where you cannot see them. Also, the auto transfer switch may not be working. Sometimes a simple maintenance tap on the switch is required to get tit o work.

Hope this helps you out and welcome to iRV2.

Ken

Ken's reply was on to something: you need to tell us if the GenSet is powering other equipment in the RV. If not, Ken is right --> go find the breakers on the GenSet.

But if the GenSet is powering things like TV and microwave, then here is a thought: My roof-mount AC units do not come on immediately when I set them to come on. The temp control unit waits about 60 seconds before the AC begins to blow (this is true when the AC "fan" is set to "auto"). So maybe you're OK....but you just need to wait for this time-out. Best of luck!!

If your rig is 30 amps and there are TWO breakers on the generator... Then one breaker runs EVERYTHING save for (one) Air conditioner, and the other breaker is A/C only.
