Add recliners!

We are contemplating removing the L shaped pull out couch in our Journey
2013 40U. Who has done this and what kind of recliners and table between
the recliners have people used? Pictures please!:

Look at the 2011 Journey Brochure @ Winnebago. It features the 40L with has the dual recliner option.

Contact Geoge or Stephine at Brad and Hall (Indiana) website regarding Amish Recliners. Better made (in my opinion) than Flexsteel & a darn might cheaper!!!

A lot of people have taken out several things including couch's and other recliner chairs and just gotten Lazy Boys which they seem to love.
I know we took out our j couch and replaced it with an entertainment center that now sits with the TV across from the pull out couch. The TV is in a much better position now for us instead of over the drivers seat.

Added these to my Thor ACE. ~1500 I like the style and comfort. Simple to do just pick your own only issue is making sure they fit thru the door. Ours were a tight fit.

We have a 2012 40U and are reluctant to remove the J couch because it is the only location for our grand kids to sleep and ride with available seat belts when they visit. Beyond that, the couch and the drawer pullout for the kitchen define the living room area. The bed is not all that comfortable and the sleeping surface is uneven. I have considered removing the section that forms the "J" (portion near the kitchen counters) and getting another recliner to fill the space. That part of the couch is worthless anyway as the location for your feet needs to be shared with others or you fight with the footrest and sitting in the corner fits absolutely no one!
What I did do was have an Amish firm build me a wall-a-way recliner that replaces the factory one. It fits my body better and by reversing the passenger seat whenever we are in camp both my DW and I have comfortable seating.

The great thing about the LazBoy recliners is that the backs come off to make it really easy to get in the coach. And with the LazBoy's you can get one that really fits. I'm 6'4", she's 5', one size does not fit all. We also moved the TV across from the recliners. It's now in a cabinet with a TV lift.

We just did the same thing, except both of ours match the one with the wooden arms.

While the motorhomes are completely different, I can say Lazy Boy does make a great recliner at a reasonable price. We replaced the original recliner in our 2001 Adventurer with a Lazy Boy wall hugger. It was the exact footprint of the Flex Steel one we replaced. We even swapped out the hoop base from the original so the new one could be secured while traveling.

As mentioned they come apart so you don't have to be a contortionist to get it in through the door. We liked the one we bought for the motorhome so much we bought a couple for the stick house.

Those are great looking recliners. Are they separate units? What brand?

We're probably gonna get rid of the separate recliners that we have now and put in this loveseat/recliner unit.
