Has anyone ever added gauges to your existing gauge cluster? I am interested in adding a tranny temp gauge, and possible a boost and EGT gauge. I have not checked with Freightliner or Cummins yet, just wanted to check for any experiences here first. Thanks, Sarge

(I moved this from the Winnebago forum for a little more exposure)

All great gauges to have Sarge...you can never have too much information about what is going on in the mechanical dept.
After a while you can pretty much avoid problems by knowing that something just isn't right with one of the readings.
I actually have two oil pressure gauges on my Towing vehicle....one to let me know the oil pump is doing it's thing and the other one tapped in near the end of the oiling system.

There are all sorts of possibilities out there. Different companies make guage clusters to mount in different locations as well and you add what you want. I have added both engin oil temp and trany temp.

Yeah, I have added gauges to a couple different diesel pickups I have owned. The difference being that the pusher motor is so far from the dash board, it presents some unique challenges. Like running the probe for a boost gauge from the manifold all the way to the dash cluster, 30' away........
