Not many "facts" there, just an answer to an unknown complaint.

Now for the rest of the story?.........................

A recent Readers Digest article outlined the operations of the BBB including ways to achieve a high rating.

Yup...pay enough to the BBB and you can get a top rating. In other words, pay to play. My wife and I own a small business. We passed on BBB membership.

When looking at company business practices, the BBB is the worst way to do it.

Think "Good Housekeeping Seal of Approval" and you get the idea. Free and worth every penny.

Yep, the Affinity Group does seem to have an affinity for a Good Scam.

You win the prize, Steve.

All else* aside, they should at least respond. A responsible and legitimate business at least responds to BBB, consumer group, or attorney general queries.

From what I've read, this is typical of Good Sam when it comes to their Extended Svc Plan.

In all fairness, their roadside assistance receives mixed ratings.

*Stemmed from their famous "all failures can be traced to seals and gaskets" tactic for denying a minor suspension component claim. Since January 2011, for more than $1K, they essentially provided phantom coverage.
