On my 2004 Chinook on the E350 chassis, the front seats were flexsteel. They were comfortable. The console has a plastic removable cubby/cup holder section where you can get a smaller one installed. Ford had different ones over the years; you can see them on eBay. Winnebago (believe it or not) makes a console cubby replacement.
This gives more room for maneuvering. There is also a swivel seat base available. We had one on the passenger side. Having the smaller console cubby allowed for room to swivel. It was nice to have an added seat while camping. I installed a swivel on our passenger seat as soon as we purchased our 2008 View (sprinter chassis).
