I have a 93 Cordoba with the ugly "brass" looking light fixtures in the bedroom, one on each side of the bed for "reading" lights. They are a wannabe wall sconse and the old material used for the "lamp shade" is faded and falling apart. I am looking at trying to do something different with it all so I thought I would turn to the GREATS of this website with any how-to or pictures of lighting that you've done. I know how to open a magazine and order a 12v light and install it, but i don't want to spend $50 on a $10 light, so I am looking for anyone that has taken a 110v wall unit and converted it into a 12v light system and what bulb you used. I am very knowledged in 12v and 110/120v electrical, so just lay it out, what did you do, what did you use, was it worth it, and where did you get it from. Looking at going LED but I want to find something that is bright enough with regular bulbs and then I will find an LED plug in replacement later. found these nice overhead lights
http://www.adventurerv.net/glass-cei...ht-p-3719.html that I was thinking about replacing my flourescent lights with, but I cant see 3 - 921 bulbs in a tiny 8" round globe being bright enough... maybe it is, i just don't see it..... anyone got pictures and descriptions to help a guy out?
Thanks In Advance.............AGAIN!
Also, just to make sure I'm thinking straight.... if I'm looking at getting rid of my #1114 bulbs everywhere and "upgrading" I should be looking at Watts or Amps when comparing bulbs? I want more light or the same, but less draw on power...
