That's how my Hankooks were balanced and they are smooth as glass. Others have had different experiences, however. You might want to get more info or ask about a guarantee.

The TCI shop balanced my AH-12's with Equal balancing powder/beads. They were smooth as silk.

Now the beads/powder did not work as well on the Michelin XZA2's on my current rig. I had to removed the tires, dump the material and have them spin balanced with weights. I also have Centramatic balancers on my steer tires.

I have not had any smell and I also used balance beads in all six tires. I have had them up to 75 mph and the where smooth as glass. That is to fast foe me .60 mph is my sweet spot. I was scared to spent large coin on tires not knowing much about them. So far I would do it again.

Pete's did my Toyos with the beads and I have no complaints.
