Hello folks I am a couple of weeks away from picking up my first class c 30ft. I would like to know which air compressor will do the job would it be something I plug into the lighter or something i hook up to the battery I would like something small but heavy duty enough to get the job done

I use a pancake compressor that I plug into the wall outlet. Never had the ones that plugged into the cigarette lighter. This one has been around for years now.

The 12 v air compressors are limited in volume of air and pressure. A 120 v pancake compressor that will go to 120 psi is your best bet. Make sure you get an air chuck that will fit inner duals.

On larger tires you are better, provided you have a generator and the space, with a pancake unit. I have seen enough 12 volt units melt down from over use.

Once you decide on a compressor be sure to invent in a chuck that locks on. Getting the tires up to 90 pounds takes some time with even a 110v pancake unit.

We carry a pancake compressor as others have mentioned. Use shore power or gen when needed. Get an extra length of coiled airline to reach far side wheels.
I recommend having solid dually stem extenders to help with access. My tire store does a lot of truck and RV work and had them in stock.

This is the fill tool I use. The valve connection locks on stem. I added the T and extra pressure gauge so I know the supply line pressure. All available at WM.

The tire store ground the wheel cover to improve access to the inside stem. I still need to cleanup the edge to remove some burrs. I need to do the same on front covers.

I've owned and used a Harbor Freight 12V, 150psi high-volume air compressor for 6 years now. It isn't fast like 120VAC units, but it does the job, is easy to carry and use. It is a knock-off of the Viair 12V 100% duty cycle compressors that sell for over $150.
