Air vent cleaning?

Anyone with advice on best way to clean the ceiling around the air vents? I thought I would try the foaming rug cleaner that you let dry and vacuum away. My concern is I don't want the ceiling to come unglued and sag.

Other members have reported success, with either , Oxy-Clean ; spray on let dry or a mild solution of hydrogen peroxide. Cover anything you don't want white.
Haven't heard any reports back about the glue letting go, but from the look of the material you have and the pictures others posted, yours may be lighter material.

One concern it may make the rest of the ceiling look dirty. Maybe just a good vacuum to try first.

On my last Fleetwood coach with ceilings similar to yours I used a Hoover Rinse and Vac and a diluted carpet cleaner solution. It worked fabulously. The water stain spot came out, however I had to do the entire coach so it all looked the same. It wasn't hard at all and only took an hour or two. I never saw any problems with the fabric coming down. But just like carpets, don't soak it with water.

Had a similar ceiling in a previous Winnebago. I used Tough Stuff it worked for me. locally I buy it at the auto parts stores. It is a car upholstery cleaner. Test a small area first though to make sure it works for you if you try it.

Thanks for the replies. Sounds like ceiling sagging is not much of an issue. I'll post results once I have time to clean it.
