Allegro Bus vs Entegra Aspire

We currently have a 2015 Tiffin Allegro Bus with which we have had many issues. We are looking at the Entegra Aspire or Newmar Dutch Star. Any one out there have any thoughts?

Well...we loved our Dutch Star - full-timed in it for 8 years traveling constantly. No issues. Go used by a few years for a good deal. The price has skyrocketed since we bought. We were allowed to do many custom items to suit us which was a plus for us. We went with Newmar after talking with every owner we could find in campgrounds. No one had anything bad to say about them. Good luck in your search.

I think you need to compare the ANTHEM model to the Tiffin Allegro Bus or the Newmar Dutch Star. The Aspire is a VERY nice coach, but IMO it compares closer to the Tiffin Phaeton and Newmar Ventana (not ventana LE) products.

I also think there are some fantastic deals out there right now on 2016 Aspire coaches. The 2017 models are out and are significantly higher because of several "upgrades" that EC seems to do consistently. EC does build a very high quality coach, IMO but I won't badmouth Tiffin or Newmar.

In the past I would agree that the Anthem was the closest match for the Allegro Bus, but for 2017 things have changed. The Aspire has been up-graded significantly. The new 2017 Aspires have many of the Anthem features now. Some of the upgrades in Aspire from 2016 to 2017 are independent front suspension, 17K front axles. The 2017 Aspire is now all-electric vs propane in 2016. Induction cooktop, other items too. There is now much less difference between an Aspire and an Anthem, so you could consider them BOTH to be an alternative to an Allegro Bus, depending on your budget.

See 2017 Entegra Changes for a complete rundown of Entegra upgrades for 2017.

I would agree with Marc. We have been tire kicking both Dutch Stars and Entegras for the last couple of years. I would put the 2017 Aspire more on a plane with the Dutch Stars. There are some rumblings that Entegra will be coming out with a "lower" model to compete more with the Ventanas and Phaetons.
