This is what the typical RV looked like back in the '90's. Not that bad looking I suppose, at least for a while.

Though it didn't look that bad, sure but got tired of it after a few years. Plus the vinyl was getting to be cracked and faded. So I asked the talented automotive painter down in Mazatlan, Mexico for color suggestions. And he came up with this...

Really looked much better. All the vinyl had been replaced with paint and the colors were darker and richer than the original color scheme. But the solid colors do look nice. No swirlies!

This looks great , our Bounder could use a makeoverClick image for larger version

If there was even a small demand for solid colored RVs, I'm sure that some manufacturer would off it as a standard option. Sure they'll paint it any solid color you want if you're willing to pay for it.

I've gotta post my $.02 worth. I'd have it done in camo. Either the desert or the desert pixel type camo That'd be cool!

Just my redneck coming out

Just my $.02.

They can come as you like. Order it so or paint it so!
With all of whooshes and swirls, mine looks like a WW1 camo battleship!

Actually looks better than mine did before I had it painted. But yeah, that color scheme is rather dated.

It would be nice to have some optional patterns that are, dare I say, more sophisticated.

If you look at the million dollar plus buses the movie stars and bands drive, most are beautiful and do not look busy.

Nice paint scheme on the new Winnebago Horizon, for those looking for something different, look-wise:

LOL Apparently yes. If you don't like the way it looks peal the graphics off or repaint. You were willing to pay extra for that look anyway.

not a fun of the swirls like an indian tatoo; and no pure plain, either.

i came up with my own design - shows on my avatar - just 2 colors, simple, with a notion of motion. i drew the graphic, chose the colors and got the painter do it.

5 years, still fresh. i got some compliments "i have never seen one like this", duh?

I suspect that the whorls and swirls were introduced to high imperfections in the walls. It is really tough and costly to build perfectly flat walls. Look at the side of any TT single color and you can see many imperfections. Multiply a single color to a large wall MH and you will see lots of problems.

Whorls and swirls take our eye away from the problems.

Looks pretty cool. Not too gaudy, yet impressive. Good job.
Happy Glamping.
