Buy one of these or make your own flush wand.. Here is an eBAY vendor selling the tool. This vendor is excellent by the way.

I have a Suburban heater in my Coleman popup. The anode rod looks like a combination of Dale's and oemtech's year old rods every single year. This year I have started removing the rod after we return back from the woods...

I simply lay the rod out inside the mounting shelf until the next trip...Is this an OK procedure?
