Antenna Controller

I have a Braund Mfc Co controller with the "Raise, Travel, Turn and Return" buttons on the face. Typical I assume. The raise/travel function works but the Turn/Return functions have ceased. Advise solicited on what parts to start replacing?

The Turn function actually moves the antenna a few degrees (maybe 10) and the Return has no effect. The antenna will stow itself in the rack correctly. Thanks for your time.

It depends on how old it is and whether there are any more parts for it. We called the company and we got the last they had in the warehouse for ours.

A place to start looking:

Most people just replace the Braund (which is no longer made) with something like the Antennacraft Mini-state. It's newer/better technology and the tuning is done internally and with a remote control so you can easily change tuning for different stations. It doesn't have to be raised & lowered either, but you can if you want (mount it on the Braund's pole).

Thanks for that link Roamer. Looks like a reasonable recovery mode.

I guess if I switch to Dish from DTV, picking up network would now be a problem.

My Braund still works fine, but most of the people I know have replaced theirs.

Have you lubricated the moving parts of the antenna? When I bought my new to me MH I could raise and lower the antenna but it would not turn. I sprayed some WD40 on the moving parts and it works great now.
