We tried a number of ant trap options with no relief. Terro knocked them out right away, we removed the Terro bait stations my wife laid out, and we are 8 months ant free so far.

I don't have ants but the man working on my dome today said spiders ran out of it. I came from Indiana so must have been eggs or something that hatched in the Arizona heat. He said don't spray in it, but maybe around. He says don't worry they can't get inside, come on dude they can get inside, just come down inside the AC or something like that. I hate spiders and I'm so allergic to bites of insects I can't even imagine a spider bite. I will fumigate when I get home but I'm thinking spraying up on the roof may drive them inside. He said they were brown. I wonder what I can do while here as I'm not leaving for a few weeks yet.

try diatomaceous earth.
it works for us.

We call them "piss ants or sugar ants". Best thing is prevention by removing food sources. Most good commercial ant sprays will work on these guys. I have never heard of the Texas crazy ants nor have I seen any. And I hope I don't. I always put some around the tires and shoreline and anything else that touches the ground and give them a way inside. The organic pest control mentioned sounds good also. I have not used it but did read the info on their site and it sounds good.

TAMU - Tawny Crazy Ant (Nylanderia spp. near pubens)

Rasberry ants = crazy ants. They move FAST, that's how you can really spot them, they love exterior walls of your house, and they don't die from any off the shelf ant killer or bait. They have invaded lower east Texas, and that's about all so far, but they keep moving north over the last few years. I had them in my house, and I had to call a specialist, you almost never see them, but when you do, there's a TON of them! The good news, I had NO fire ants in my yard. Killed the rasberry's, fire ants back in a season. HA Not sure which I like more.
