Any idea what this antenna is for?

I was up on the roof today and noticed this antenna and am curious as to what it is/was for. I have a separate radio antenna so it's not that. Any ideas?

Looks like the base to an old analog cell phone antenna, but kind of hard to tell.

We have two of them, one for the dash AM/FM radio and the other for the surround sound AM/FM system. You can buy replacements at Wal*Mart for about $6.

Looks like a Jensen antenna base for am/fm radio. We have one on our rig.

I have two stereos in my rig. Maybe this is for outside radio or one in bedroom?

Yep, am/FM radio. I have one in dash, one in bedroom, and one in outside bay. Two of mine now look like the picture with mast broken off, but it doesn't seem to affect reception.

Actually, it's an early version of the spyware antennas the NSA pays RV manufacturers to install in every rig. The newer ones are much better hidden.

Yep, looks to be the Jenson and I believe I know where it comes into the coach now. Many thanks for the answer and NSA theory which made me lol.
