anyone allergic to vinyl or ultra-leather?

Well, the title asks the question.

My wife is having a problem. When her skin contacts the vinyl and/or ultra leather on our chairs or our dashboard for a period of time, it seems that she has an allergic reaction.

Last week, her elbow blistered from resting on the armrest on her captain's chair, which is a new chair made of ultra leather.

Today, she placed her bare feet on the dashboard for a while. Her feet began to itch and hurt. The dashboard is vinyl or ultra leather, I don't know which. It is the original material.

Has anybody else experienced anything like this?

Yes she is allergic to some chemical in the covering. I had this problem personally in the mid 60's with automobile steering wheels. My hands would blister and peel, it was a mess. Finally a doctor instructed me to put cloth steering wheel covers on and it went away immediately. Eventually they must have changed the steering wheel material and I no longer have the problem.
