Anyone use two Honda 2000 Generators?

We ski every weekend from December through March. Been using a single Honda 2000 Generator attached to a 5-gallon external tank for the last few seasons, but it doesn't have enough juice run the microwave or coffee maker/toaster at the same time and I have to go out, unplug the small generator, and plug into the house generator. Been thinking of purchasing a second one and run them in parallel. Anyone else use this system? Any thoughts? Thanks!

What is the advantage os using the portable generator instead of the builtin?

At least in my fleetwood, the builtin generator has priority. If I'm plugged into shore power and start the generator, the EMS automatically switches away from shore power onto the genny. I assume it does this because the genny puts out more power than shore (50 amps vs 30) but regardles, it happens.

I assume you have your lil honda plugged into a 30 amp shore power connection, probably with an (20 amp) adapter?
What happens if you just crnk up the big genny when you needa make coffee?

And yes, you can buy a cable that will parrallel 2 honda 2000's

I have two 2000s and used them in 2008-2009 when we had a travel travel trailer and they worked great! I would pull into a boondocking sight, set the two generators in a semi-hidden place, fire them up and turn on the air conditioner. They were so quiet that you could walk 15-20 feet away from the trailer and not hear them. They ran the A/C, microwave, TV and Directv receiver just fine.
